These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Downey Client Services automated phone appointment-booking and transactional text messaging service.
Service description
Downey Client Services provides technology that helps customers request and complete appointments with participating businesses. A customer may call a participating business, select an available appointment time using the telephone keypad, and choose whether to receive automated text messages to complete the booking.
The messaging service is used for transactional appointment-related communications only and is not used for promotional or marketing messages under this program.
SMS consent
Before automated text messages are sent, the caller is given information about the messaging service and asked for explicit consent. The caller may:
- consent to receive text messages and complete the booking by text; or
- decline text messages and receive a follow-up phone call to complete the booking.
Consent to receive text messages is not required to request an appointment.
Types of messages
Customers who consent may receive messages such as:
- a request for their name;
- a request to identify whether they are a new or returning client;
- a request for the service they would like;
- an appointment confirmation; and
- one follow-up reminder if the booking process is not completed.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on the customer’s interaction with the booking process. Customers may receive up to 5 automated text messages per booking.

Message and data rates may apply.
Your mobile carrier’s messaging and data charges are your responsibility.
Opting out
Reply STOP to opt out of further automated text messages. After opting out, you will no longer receive automated messages through this program unless you later provide new consent where permitted.

Appointment status and availability
Selecting an appointment time through the automated system may create a temporary hold. An appointment may not be fully confirmed until the customer completes the required booking steps or speaks with the participating business.
The participating business remains responsible for its own schedule, services, pricing, cancellations, and fulfillment of appointments.
No guarantee of delivery
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Downey Client Services does not guarantee that every phone call, text message, or notification will be delivered without interruption or delay.
Participating businesses
Downey Client Services provides booking technology. The participating business is responsible for the actual services provided to the customer. Downey Client Services is not responsible for the quality or outcome of services provided by a participating business, business pricing, cancellations, appointment delays, or disputes between a customer and a participating business.
Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last updated.
